Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Roll the Tape, run by Bear Essentials AI, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we"). By buying or using it you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].

What you're buying

• The Record Book (one-time): a single edition covering your league's history, delivered as a page on our site, usually within 24 hours of sign-up. It includes the seasons the league's platform makes available to us.
• The Beat + The Record Book (one-time, rest of the current season): The Record Book, plus a new edition after each completed week of the NFL regular season and your league's playoffs, usually published Tuesday or Wednesday.

Prices are shown at checkout, in US dollars. These are one-time purchases, not subscriptions: nothing renews automatically.

Payments and taxes

Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on where you are, Stripe may act as the reseller of record for your purchase and collect applicable sales tax; in that case Stripe's terms also apply to the transaction.

Refunds

If we can't produce your edition (for example, your league's platform won't give us its data), we'll refund you in full. If you're not happy with what you received, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full.

Your part

• Sign up only leagues you run or have the commissioner's permission to sign up.
• For ESPN leagues, you authorize us to use the access cookies you provide to read your league's data, and nothing else. See our Privacy Policy.
• Share your league's pages with your league. Don't use the service to harass anyone.

The reports

Reports are written by an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) from your league's statistics, then checked automatically against that data before they're published. They're entertainment: we work hard to get every number right, but platform data can change (stat corrections, for example) and mistakes are possible. Tell us about an error and we'll correct it. The writing is meant to rib teams and decisions, never to attack people. If something crosses the line for your league, tell us and we'll change it.

Ownership

We own the Roll the Tape name, design and software. You may share, screenshot, print and keep your league's reports for personal, non-commercial use. Your league's underlying data remains yours and your platform's.

Availability

We rely on Sleeper, ESPN and nflverse for data. If one of them changes or blocks access, an edition may be late or unavailable; if we can't deliver what you paid for, you'll get a refund for the undelivered part. We may change or end the service, but we'll honor what you've already bought or refund it.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the service, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

Changes

If we change these terms we'll update the date above. Changes don't affect purchases you've already made.
